All the way from Fargo, North Dakota – G of G Inc brought FX’s Fargo to New York City and Los Angeles ahead of the newest season. And what a season. Season five of Fargo brought stars Jon Ham (known from Mad Men) and Juno Temple (known from Ted Lasso) to blows. This season was the most Emmy nominated season the series has ever had. To celebrate the return of Fargo for Season five, our client created a buzz-worthy activation that excited returning fans—and intrigued new ones—while capturing the darkly hilarious Midwest mayhem Fargo is known for.
What did G of G Inc do? We had an interactive prize wheel that gave away such items as Fargo pillows and koozies. Guests stepped in and were encouraged by our team to post a pic to their story and tag the Fargo account in order to participate in the prize wheel game. We also had a photographer and videographer capturing all of the fun.
Why are brand ambassadors key to this type of activation? Seeing a large food truck in the middle of Meatpacking in New York City with the words Fargo on the side of it is so intriguing that you want to ask what it is all about. That is why brand ambassadors not only in the truck giving out prizes are needed, but you also want brand ambassadors helping patrons spin the wheel and presenting passersby’s with all of the info on how to win.
