What does back to school mean to you? Did you take part in some fun frosh events, or does September make you excited to head to Toronto to check out TIFF? Well here at G of G Inc, September and the start of school means a number of things.
September started off with a bang in London, ON. On Sept 13th and 14th, a couple of DJ’s including one you may know (DEADMAUS!) were spinning at the official Park Jam after parties inside London Music Hall. Our team was giving out popsicles, tossing out swag, and conducting data collection for our client all while turning the venue into a sea of green. In honour of the huge headlining DJ, our favourite piece of swag was the glow in the dark ears which were extremely popular amongst the party goers. Other musical acts who were a part of the Park Fam festival included Aaron Carter, Diplo, Brett Kissel, and Ice Cube. This festival sure had a little bit of something for everyone.
September in Toronto also means that TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) is in full swing. Shutting down a strip of King Street, TIFF always brings a sense of excitement to the city. We were working alongside a non-alcoholic version of a popular beer brand which had us put together a street team, whose job was to give out cans of their product as guests were leaving different screenings. We only had a few short hours to get through 900 cans but our team did it! We hope you ran into our staff and were able to grab a can for yourself.
The Steamwhistle Brewery is always hosting exciting events and this month was no different. This Is Vintages was a specialty wine tasting where guests were not only sampling wines and enjoying delectable food pairings but were able to learn directly from wine makers and product experts who were actually the ones serving the products. One of our highly experienced and educated wine sampling staff was conducting a sampling on behalf of our client along with over 80 other wines. Food, wine, music and good company – sounds like a fantastic evening!
